Expectation leads to Frustration

When we look around, we find everyone being mean and selfish, never being sensitive to us and our feelings………………but what we forget is that we are one of those ‘everyone’ for someone else. Throughout the day and throughout the life, we just want someone to think about us, care for us; it’s irrelevant if we do the same or not. Why is this attitude within us?

It’s just because of something called “expectation”. This is the state of mind when people forget that future is an unknown ocean and we don’t own it. Anything can happen anytime. Then why to have expectation? May be because we all know expectation leads to frustration and we want to be frustrated. Seriously, it is not a matter of laughter. It is the hard truth. If we someday sit alone in out room (which we do when we had some hard feelings going on in the mind) and if then instead of cursing others we think over this issue, then we will get astonishing answers. We want to be frustrated! Otherwise what is the reason of moving towards frustration with each and every step of expectations? We all know it well, right??

We do this to ourselves intentionally and then cry over it. Instead of enjoying the beauty spread across us by ‘everyone’, we choose to set our hearts on fire…we choose to be sad. What a bunch of fools we are………

You must be thinking “What a piece of Junk”.......but still....…its Right :P

Well Said anjali.. Its the expectation which is killing every one. But I think its the expectations of others-parents, family, friends, relatives etc which is more dangerous. Our expectations are blend of our aspirations and confidence. however the expectations bestowed on us by people around us are blend of their dreams and pressure... When I dont perform as per my own expectations, I know the reasons, and I know how can I improve and I wanna give time for that... But others not... What u say Anjali...

Hmmm....as I said - We too are other for someone else. What right do we have to raise finger on others when we ourselves are culprits?

And our frustrations are not the results of others expectation but our own!

We all know that if our expectations wont meet success we will get frustrated ... Now a days i'm in that stage, and today i was searching for a solution for it in Google( it's sad thing that we search our own identity in Google... sorry to say)and happened to read your blog.. I feel little relieved after reading it. After all, as you said it's our own creation. So there is no room for crying if i lose. Your words were a revelation for me. Now i feel more courageous to face ahead. Bcoz whatever happens in my life it's bcoz of me

Thanks frnd. :)
